Description: This presentation is a panel discussion, session 66PD, from the 2004 Spring Meeting of the Society of Actuaries, held June 14-15 in San Antonio, TX. Noting that life insurance and annuity products in general have grown much more complex [e.g. universal life with secondary guarantees], the panelists discuss the product development process and the resources you can use to get the product to market quickly. They discuss topics including the product development cycle, reinsurance assistance, and filing with state insurance departments and the Securities and Exchange Commission [SEC].
